Referee Training

Refresher Course and Field Clinic - Aug 29th -This clinic is for certified referees, either new or returning. We'll cover law changes, and we'll have a U10 Scrimmage and an opportunity to referee with experienced mentors present. 8am-11am at Wagon Wheel Sportspark, Front Field. Come in referee gear!
Regional Referee Clinic - Aug 15th - This clinic prepares you to be the Referee or Assistant Referee in any Under-7 through Under-14 AYSO game. Any referee who wants to do U-7 through Under-14 games must hold a Regional Referee or Higher Certification. Safe Have is included. Location: RSM Bell Tower "La Miranda Room" Time 8am-5pm. Lunch and training materials will be provided.

U-8 Referee Clinic - Aug 29th - This clinic prepares you to be the Referee or Assistant Referee in Under-7 and Under-8 AYSO games ONLY. Any referee who wants to do Under-9 through Under-14 games must hold a Regional Referee or Higher Certification, and should attend the Regional class instead of these one. Safe Have is included. Location: RSM Bell Tower "La Miranda Room" Time noon-5pm. Lunch and training materials will be provided.

Meetings and Events

Weekly Referee Meetings - Starting Sept 3rd,2009, we meet at Starbucks near Lowes at Santa Margarita & Las Flores, each Wednesday from 7:00PM until 8:30PM. Come let the Region buy you a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa; and discuss issues or questions that arise in your games. All Referees welcome (coaches too!) Uniforms and equipment will be available the first several weeks of Septemeber, if you need equipment on other days, email the RRA, or Equipment Manager.
Youth Referee Dinner Meetings - Youth Referees (those under 18 years old, not those that just feel young!) are invited to Pick-Up-Stix for Dinner and Referee discussions on alternate Fridays. Check the Calendar Page for exact dates and times.
